Relocating from Milwaukee to California in 2005 marked a significant turning point in my life. Embracing change, I sought new opportunities and environments that would foster growth for myself and my family. The vibrant culture and diverse communities of California offered an appealing backdrop for this journey.
As a proud father of three—Patrobas II, Pamela, and Paul Brown—I made it my mission to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for my children. Each day, I am reminded of the importance of instilling values of resilience and determination in them. Their laughter and spirit inspire me to be the best version of myself.
My role as a grandfather to two adorable grandsons, Jalen Brown and Patrobas Brown III, added another layer of joy and responsibility to my life. Watching them grow and thrive fills me with immense pride and motivation.
Through the challenges and triumphs of relocating and raising a family, I have learned invaluable lessons about adaptability and perseverance. My experiences have shaped my perspective, fueling my desire to contribute positively to my community and support future generations. In every endeavor, I carry the love and strength of my family, guiding me toward a brighter future.
From the tender age of three, my passion for art manifested in exuberant displays on the walls and storm windows of my childhood home. Fueled by my father's encouragement to embrace creativity without fear, I have relentlessly pursued excellence in artistic expression. Over the past 24 years, I have dedicated myself to creating Black History books and artwork, striving to illuminate the profound narratives often overlooked. My final project, "The 1565 Myth or the 1619 Robbery of the Truth," embodies my commitment to redefining history through art. This endeavor represents not just a culmination of my journey, but also a vital contribution to cultural understanding and appreciation.
I give thanks to my parents, I give thanks to my parents, John T. and Evelyn Brown, for their unwavering support and understanding during my formative years. Growing up, I often tested boundaries, navigating the tumultuous path of childhood with all its trials. They embraced my expressive nature, allowing me to make mistakes that shaped my identity. Each misstep became a lesson, fostering resilience and self-awareness. I learned that imperfection is part of growth, and their guidance instilled in me the courage to pursue my passions fearlessly. My journey to self-discovery would not have been possible without their love and acceptance, which continues to inspire me today.

A Quote from my dad always told to me as a child.
“Good, Better, best. Never Let It Rest, till your Good is Better and Your Better Is Best”
